Emergent Effects
22 February 2011

This week, Katie and Sarah introduced us to this cool, weird and powerful idea of emergent effects.  What are emergent effects, you ask?  Listen and find out!

Jane Goodall
15 February 2011

Jane Goodall is one of the coolest people on the planet.  That is a fact.  Chuck and Boris went to a science fair to talk to some young scientists.  They also attended a talk by Goodall, and Rose recites her biography from memory.  Listen up!

Valentine's Day
8 February 2011

On last week's Doppler Effect, Chuck Furlong brings up one of the most sensitive subjects for men: are you too short?  He also talks about oxytocin and sexy times.  Then, Rose Eveleth takes on a common problem for the ladies: cat-calling.  The short answer: no it's not romantic.  Not even on Valentine's Day.

Neandertal Night
1 February 2011

It's that time of the week again! That's right, Doppler Effect show time! Last night Katie and Sarah took us back in time to talk about Neandertals. Listen here.
